As always, it is interesting to hear about the "Sale number's" from the show........Has anyone heard? even number's from other manufacture's? The fall Hershey show produced some large number's..........Just wondering how it is going in the south

I asked yesterday morning and at that time there has been 8 Newmar models sold.

From what I've heard the sales on both Newmar and Entegra were nowhere near what they were in Hershey. My guess would be that the dealers who represented both brands in Tampa were not as willing to deal as they were in Hershey.

RV One had the Newmar and Entegra display at Hershey and while I don't have specific sales numbers at Tampa, I did speak to an RV One salesman and he said that they sold more Entegras at Tampa than the Lazydays group.

Gents,

Having been involved in several large boat shows in the past "the first liar doesn't stand a chance."

My guess is RV shows aren't any different. If you write up 20 deals do they all stick. Of course not so when does one know the real number. But they run around telling every one they sold twenty.

I just talked to some folks that were there from Canada on Saturday and she said that other than just seeing a bunch of MH all in one place it was impossible to really do business there. She was looking at Newmars only.

I was talking today to Trent, Sales manager for North Trails at FT Meyers and he said he was very happy, but did not have final numbers yet, still a few more deals "in the works". He gave us a golf cart tour of his lot and the new sales areas, "WOW!" 55 more acres of RV, he said over a $100 Million dollars in inventory and more coming!

It was an impressive number of RV's easily over a hundred Newmars...

When we were at the show, they told us they had sold 8 first day, then 3 the second day. I know they sold at least one the third day (ours!).

We ordered a Dutch Star 4002, and will do a factory pick up. I started a separate thread a few days ago about it.

You gotta remember when it comes to sales reports, if the salesman's lips are moving, he's probably lying. They play all kinds of tricks with the numbers, so who really knows? For example, a supplier will offer $X rebates for all units moved at the show.....the dealer will book sales from before and after as having been done at the show so he can qualify for the added rebates. All I can say is a lot of coaches from Newmar and Entegra are being sold these days....competition is heating up!
