Back in Buffalo area. Winterizing tomorrow. Got the optional heat pads. When I turn the switch on there is no difference in amps drawn per my energy management system. The indicator light on switch plate near sink does light up so I know there is power getting to the switch.

The pads are soley for 110 use. So it seems they are not working. Any help is greatly appreciated. I am hooked to 20 amp service and all else works fine.

Also, which tanks are the heat pads on? Grey, Black and Fresh or a subset?

FYI, HydroHot electric pulls 12 amps and the readout change is immediate. Have the wet bay temp set to 45 degrees. Tonight it's down to 28.

Java..I have noticed the same thing and was told the tanks have to get cold enough to activate the pads...dont know what that temp would be but with hydrohot running, I would think the tank bay will likely not get cold enough for those heater pads to come on...dont know for sure

Thanks much.

Wondering though, the tank pads are only for gray & black. I can see my fresh water and there is no pad on it. Unless it's only on the bottom.

Set your thermostat to 55, 45 is too low if the temp really goes down low...you may forget to set the heat highter.

Keep an eye out for mice. I can't keep them out when I am running the basement and wet bay heat.

Jerry you need some good old fashion mouse traps only thing that works in my case but I do have some real clean smelling compartments on our coach, dryer sheets Bounty
Just did write up on 5.1 DVD install and was greeted with a mess in cabinet over micro thats when I got some more traps fresh peanut butter and placed in compartments ,furnace, back of refer and under draws in main kitchen cabinet. Counts up to five this winter more to come I'm sure.
