I don't have a display in my rear view mirror, actually I don't have an overhead rear view mirror. My temp display in the dash computer area. Normally automotive temp sensors are behind the bottom of the radiator.

Thanks, in my case (diesel pusher) I'm guessing it's in the front generator slide somewhere. The mirror is totally useless ... provides a view of the slide end wall. However, I'm thinking of relocation possibilities to save the temp/compass. Maybe relocating it to the dumpster ....
On our 04 Essex we have found that when gen. is running the temp raises up to degrees after 1/2 or more. Which would lead me to think the temp sensor is close to gen.

There's a "something" clipped to the edge of a body panel where the slide front panel seam meets the main body panel. Its roughly behind the HWH slide actuator switch. Think I'll have a closer look.
