I know you said "start saving your pennies" so it makes me feel even a little more guilty writing this...
We traveled to Lee's RV in Oklahoma City (from Phoenix) a few weeks ago and picked up our new 2011 MADP 4336. We made the choice to trade now because we really wanted to stay with the Spartan Chassis and we did not want to have to mess with the engine changes/regulations that are being put into place.
We had been looking at the 08's but the price difference really was not all THAT different from what we could find, and the 2011 had not been sitting on someones lot.... It is only a 43 vs a 45 but for us that works. The engine is a cummins 425 ISL but again for us that works fine. We do have a bit of buyers remorse but I am hoping that is only because we really have not had a chance to use it. It almost feels too nice, our stick home is jealous.
We picked it up from the dealer and then had to get back home right away. The kids have school and that four letter word w.o.r.k. gets in the way

. Looking forward to our first "real" trip in it. I know once we finally get to use it we will be picking everyones brain on how to work things etc.
There is a redesign on the bathroom from the original brochure. Ours has the "new" design and that would have been a deal breaker for us. The first design really was not functional, this one makes sense. Oh, and the multiplex wiring is really nice!
We were led to believe that the rating for the tow hitch on the 43's was going 15,000 lbs but that turned out not to be the case. Not the end of the world but a little bit disappointing.
Not to hijack your thread but I do feel it is important to mention just how awesome Lee and his team were to us. Our sales rep, Randy, could not have been any nicer. It was nice to see a dealership that embodies what everyone claims Newmar to be. The price on the coach and the trade-in were fair and that is really what you want on a business deal.
It will be interesting to see what happens with the other 2011 lines. I have not seen anything on any of them yet. When we finally get to take a "real" trip I'll post some pics. I did post a few on the "brag about your new rig" thread.
