Comfort and Quality at it's finest! Would sure like to have one but I'll just have to stick with ours for now.

In 2006 we looked at a new 06 Ventana but walked away because of the first year run. Then in 07 they changed from the Freightliner chassis so we passed again. Jump forward a couple years, we had a chance to purchase a used 06 Ventana. Knowing it was Newmars entry level DP we expected it to be lacking in some areas ...... we haven't found them yet!! For the money compared to other brands and models we are satisfied with our Ventana. If/when we make another purchase the Ventana line will be at the top of the list.

Saw two new 2011 Ventanas at the dealer's lot a few days ago. Biggest change for 2011 is that it's on a Freightliner chassis with the same Cummins ISB. Also, I was surprised they offer a 43' floorplan with a tag axle. Other changes are mostly minor -- new front cap, a bath and a half floorplan, main TV located midship, and the outside entertainment system is elevated and located just below the kitchen window instead of in a basement compartment. Very nice for Newmar's "entry-level" diesel pusher, which is really equivalent to other manufacturer's premium models.

Just returned from FMCA in Redmond, had 2011 Ventana at the show, 3962 floorplan, really a nice coach quite a few upgrades over the 2010, most noticeable was added " of width to the front door, re-did dash, front dashboard and new front and rear caps. Believe it came from the Guaranty Lot in Junction City OR.

We just returned from Redmond also. I am surprised and confused... the Ventana was great. Confused because we liked the model that we saw there, more than the Dutch Star. But how could that be? The Dutch Star is a more expensive model???
If I was to buy today, how could I buy a Dutch Star... bummed out.

I also think I now need Comfort Drive. I was going to try one out but got busy and forgot to make arrangements.

Another surprise for me was to be impressed with the new Allegro Bus. Based on appearance and layout, it could give Newmar a run for the money in my book. I didnt check out specs so not sure if that would change my mind. I did meet Bob Tiffen and talked to him a couple of times while viewing the Allegro Bus.

Hey, Spikester... I forgot that you said you would be at Redmond. Had I remembered I would have liked to meet you. We were not able to attend the pre-rally as intended, but we did meet the Newmar group on Monday and caravaned in, and parked with them.

I see the Ventana mud flap has solid letters like the gassers used to have.
