So, anybody have one these new floorplans? In my observations, it seems very awkward while travelling as you have to climb over the bed to get to the head. Also guests have to come through your bedroom to get to the livingroom. If you have not seen these new All Star floorplans, check out Newmar's website.

Looks like they added a mid-door to solve the guest problem. But, you'll still need to do some gymnastics it seems to hit the head enroute!
Floorplan here Model 4484

A little off subject, but the Country Coach Veranda looks to be a real game changer.... A whole different approach to RV'ing than just moving the same-old-same-old around. May not be overly enjoyable in certain campground configurations, but in a boondock, oh boy! Come on Newmar, you guys invented the slide-out, what's the next biggie???

Peter,
I have been in several of these units. When the slide is closed there is a narrow path to get to the bathroom. One does not need to climb over the bed. As Jeff posted, there is a rear door, to the living area.

Not in the brochure, there is a floorplan with a fireplace on the rear wall. Just like the Essex floor plan with the fireplace behind the passenger seat.

If it was just the wife and me the reverse floor plan fits our RVing requirements and I would give it top consideration. As always, I would change a few things, but for me, the reverse floor plan is a winner.

We will be in Nappanee soon to see a 4159 coming off the production line.

I walked through one at The Rally. The rear is nice for a couple but I found the four front seats to be wasted space. I think a couple might find it to be a winner though. There is also a nice plan with a mid kitchen and a rear living room that I thought was nice.

Jeff, actually Newmar beat CC with the patio. Our side ramp is capable of being a patio, we orginally asked for a awning over it but did not get Newmar to add. With a screen room similiar to some of the Toyhaulers you have a screened in Veranda, with TV, etc. etc.

Although we currently would not be interested in the rear living area, I believe Newmar is on track with the 44+' floor plans-as everybody else is just offering the same old "me too" products. We did see one at the Tampa show in January, it was pretty nice-lots of private space!

A floor plan that interested us(but apparently never came to fruition) was the split rear with half garage(with entrance door and rear ramp) and half 2nd bedroom(with Murphy bed and slide).

I saw early designs of the split plan you saw but it never hit the site. Must have been cut in the off season!

Dav5942, What camp area are you at in the above photo? The beach and stuff looks real cool.

That WAS our lot at Las Canoas, Mazatlan, Mexcio. Unfortunately our lease ran out and the park was out bid on an option to buy by $2M!
