The "official" unofficial Newmar breakfast spot in Nappanee has closed.
Last year they said they were closing but would reopen in a new location.
They closed but did not reopen elsewhere.

Sigh indeed.
They were the best for breakfast.
I went to the Country Table today, bland food and higher prices.
I'll try the Dutch Kitchen tomorrow. They're around the corner from the factory.

Your wish is my command!
I went there for lunch and the new digs are much nicer, not new, but built by modern standards. The original location appeared to have been built in anticipation of the Iron Horse's first arrival in this area.
Same menu and prices. Mostly soup/salad/sandwiches with a few dinner platters. Nothing fancy, just comfort food and my grilled chicken sandwich was good.
Now open 6 AM 'til 8 PM.
It's just north of the old DiMartini dealership on the right.

Hi Mike,
I like the Dutch Kitchen. Go out the back of the camping area, turn left and go to the northwest corner of Newmar property. Make a right turn (north) and the Dutch Kitchen is about 100 yards on the left. Absolutely perfect fried eggs (any way your way).
If you have never been to the area before, head up to north of Elkhart (Route 19). Right where I90/80 intersects with Route 19 there is the Elkhart visitors center. There you will find a bunch of brochures. On the south east corner of where these roads intersect is the RV Museum and Hall of Fame. It is a nice 1/2 day adventure.
The Nappanee, Elkhart and Shipshewana area have more to do than you'll have time for. Consider taking the Newmar plant tour.
Remember, a visit to this area will just about guarantee you may or may not leave a better person but you will leave a larger one.

We can second the recommendation for the Dutch Kitchen. Had breakfast there a couple of weeks ago. Lots of good food and good service.

A bit of trivia.
One of the waitresses is Dave Garl's daughter.
Dave's a factory sales rep.

Hey Dirk, We won't make breakfast tomorrow as we are still in Elk City. I'm leaving for the west tomorrow, hopefully see you before you leave.
