The Great Outdoors, FL vacation

In 10 days we are booked at The Great Outdoors in Titusville, FL for two week vacation. Our long term plan is to buy a house there as a home base.
Thatís why we want to stay there and see how we like it. Planning to bring the golf cart too if I can. No assigned spot yet.

Hi Buly,
It is a very nice place. Very well kept. Understand the HOA fees. Good that you bring the golf car. It is a big place. Every place has their grumpies/bullies. TGO is no exception. Most are okay folks. Lots of different kinds of places to choose from.

It's a great place with great people. We went in 2005 and loved it. Purchased a port property in 2007 then sold that and bought a house in 2015. Fun, safe, pet friendly and well kept. The area of Titusville is growing along with the space industry. To the west is Orlando and lot's to do. As the saying goes "Love It Here"! Have fun!

My wife and I visited The Great Outdoors in our 43' Newmar Ventana Motorhome three years ago and rented an rv pad for the winter. We loved the place and returned the next year on the same rv pad. Last year we bought a house with an rv garage at TGO and sold the 43 foot motorhome and bought a 29' Newmar Baystar for the travel back and forth between Indiana and Florida. I have no doubt that after your visit you will be hooked on the place and will pursue your plans to buy a house. We love it here, the people are very friendly and there is plenty to do. As an earlier poster mentioned the space coast is growing significantly now and Titusville has a new shopping that is partially complete. You can be at Disney in less than an hour and to the east side of Orlando's shopping area in under 30 minutes.

Just after midnight this morning we had to ask the vet to put our little dog Dolly to sleep.
After having great day playing ball, following me around in the backyard, going for our evening ride, and all around a normal day,
She started acting strange by 9pm. Her heart was failing fast. By 11pm we decided to take her to emergency pet clinic.
At midnight, pink foam was coming from her nose, she was drowning, and we decided to end her suffering.
I took her home and will bury her today.
We are having hard time coping with her loss
Departing for The Great Outdoors tomorrow, but Iím very depressed and missing my little dog.

So very sorry to hear of your loss. Our dog passed away only 3 weeks after moving to The Great Outdoors. We built a home and truly "love it here," we hope you do to!

Thank you. I hope we get over it soon, but it is very hard right now.

I am so sorry for your loss. One of our two Goldens passed away in June and it still hurts so much.
