Well Bob is winding his way to Napanee today and should arrive about 2 pm this afternoon. The temperature is a little colder out than his ice maker is inside, and his ice maker is working fine. I believe it's in the teens as he approaches indianapolis with lower temperatures ahead. He promises to post his fridgid adventure providing he can get air card service tonight. The coach is going inside immediately so he can't use his dish.
He told me he doesn't want to hear the temperatures down here in Florida, but I bet he is giving his heated seats a good test.

Peter

Weather's pretty crummy here, snowing, mid 20's, down to single digits at night, wind gusts to 30 mph, etc. Hope he's getting better stuff where he's at.

WOW it's COLD!!

Made it to Nappanee a little while ago, unloaded the Hummer, then Jason arranged for me to drop it behind the service building, then we put the coach inside...
As Peter has mentioned, the Oasis heat/HW system is on the fritz, this with now having had TWO different techs (brothers actually...) fly out to the coach on the East Coast, from the West Coast and replace parts...I've been told there's an entire Oasis system waiting to be installed tomorrow and the one of the Oasis techs will meet me in the morning.
Also developed a recurring "check engine" light, but I could reset it and after 45 minutes or so it would come back on....Fluids and gauges were all ok,although for the second time in this coach's life I had to boost the batteries to start it...Jason says he'll assess the entire battery and charging situation this week...
I followed the Microsoft Trips directions with some "forced" western changes and other than Lexington,KY I had very little trouble...
In Lexington it was blowing snow across the roadway and was rather "dicey" for about an hour....Got through that between 6:30 and 7:00 this morning and had no other issues, other than I wish I would've come up 19 and not 31 toward Nappanee as it took waaaay longer...

I'm headed out to the Hideaway here in town for some chow....It's about the only thing open on Sunday evening...Might even hang out and watch the game...

Thanks to Peter and Richard for checking on this little fella...

Bob,

Glad you made it OK. I was guessing you were motoring through my area mid-afternoon yesterday when the windchill was around -20.

It's a balmy 4 degrees out today and supposed to go to -4 tonight.

Joe,I actully went out I-64 all the way in order to stay south...
Got into the snow in the mountains nearest Lexington,KY but the roads were dry the west of the way.
Just came back from grabbing some dinner and the thermometer was @ 3 degrees...
Even the tire monitors in the Hummer are going nuts....

Bet I turned some heads dressed in a hat and a winter coat driving the coach...

Bob:

Glad you got there OK. Without only dash heat, how cold was it in the coach? Are you staying in the coach or has Newmar put you up elsewhere?

The coach got down to 45 degrees inside...

I called Jason and he met me at the shop and we put the coach inside...He called the nearby Amish Acres Inn and arranged a room for me as I am not able to stay in the coach without heat..
They'll cover the room for as many days as it takes to get me heat, but as I mentioned in the other topic, I'm going to stay here on my nickel the rest of the week to allow them total access to the coach.

Jerry, I had no need to winterize the coach,or so I thought,as the Oasis heating also heats the compartments and water bay.

After having not one,but two different techs work on the Oasis,I thought I was out of the woods as far as Oasis was concerned....

I had intended to STAY in it...
