Theater seating

Out with the old "sleep sofa", in with the new, "theater seating"!
Took about 3 hours to disassemble and remove the old sofa.
Took about 4 hours, start to finish, to install the new theater seating.
Power recliners, reading lights, 4 USB ports, removable small snack/computer tables, two electrical outlets in console, and storage drawer underneath.

Nice.

I was disappointed to see when I looked under my sofa that Newmar didn't put tiles completely underneath. So, I don't have the choice to swap it out for recliners one day. Not saying that is my plan, but it is unfortunate Newmar cut this corner on my build.

I would love to do that but DW likes to lay on couch while watching tv or napping. Oh well.

Thinking of doing the same thing. I have an outlet on the wall behind the couch. It is only live when plugged into shore power or the generator is on. How do you or do you plan to use the power recliner at other Times? What did you think of the quality of the recliner. There have been mixed reviews on the brand. I do like their options.

Shore power, or the generator works to power the receptacles! So, not an issue for me.
That said, there are 'four" wires to plug in which powers the recliners, the reading lights, & the electrical outlets in the console. I used a 6 strip "surge protector", & plugged it into the wall outlet directly behind the recliners.
As to the quality, I am impressed with the leather material, the comfort of the seating (though the seat angle may be a bit of a challenge to one with short legs), firm, but not to firm, & provides good support to the back, as well as the butt! The power recliners work smoothly, the reading lights may be a bit bright, but are adjustable.
Though there were no installation instructions, it was fairly easy to install.Once in place, slide the seat backs on their tracks, & they click in place. The only real challenge is connecting the recliners & center console together. Here was the only negative I found. There is a piece of metal angle at the bottom of each chair, & each side of the console. There is a slot, into which the protruding "pin" must be slid, to connect them together. The metal strips on the console were installed in reverse, so I had to remove them, switch sides, & screw them back into the frame!
Overall, I am very happy with the product, & the comfort. The dimensions fit precisely into the slide area from which I removed the sofa, and the length was exactly as needed, to fit between the light sconces!
My rating....probably a 4.5, rather than a 5, as I had to change the two brackets. For most "RV" folks, since they can tinker, & repair things, that would be just a bit of a minor challenge!

Thanks for the feed back. My wife and I are tall (6-0 and 6-3) so fitting on the sofa is our issue. We will likely fly to the factory and try it out before we buy. We thought about just getting mechanical recliner.
