We are in the market to replace our 03 Tropi-cal diesel Motor Home and are currently looking at a 2010/11 non Urea 40 foot Dutch Star.

As we live in Canada, we are wondering about whether we should buy it in the US or here.

What I would like to know is .... the basic MSRP in the US for a DS that is sort of a usual configured model (no hydrahot [sp?]) . I realize that options can make a big difference in the price but a ball park will sure help us make our decision.

Thanks for you help.

Joe

JoeP welcome to the forum.
Here is some DS offered by North Trail to give you an idea about prices.
They did have a Build Your Own link that I can not find now.
Lee's RV also has build your own link but must be getting up dated.
At least there is something to get you started.

JoeP, I am from Canada and bought mine in Canada from a dealer in Québec - It is a 2006 DSDP 4024 - I get excellent service in Québec from an independent Spartan-Onan-Cummins person.

Are you buying new or used - makes a big diffference on duties and I believe the unit has to be certified for our Country - mine is a US 2006 but was certified to cross the border.

Good luck !
