The side-to-side weights on our 16 VTDP 4002 are within about a hundred lbs of each other, loaded for travel.
I spend most of my time on my ipad at the table (credenza/pull out table) so thought cockpit tv was essential. In fact, the viewing angle of the televator is remarkably wide. If I hear something that interests me, i can watch a pretty good distortion free picture from the table. If i'm REALLY interested, then i'll turn on the front tv. Depends on how much you watch tv.
One prob was the narrow credenza and shallow cabinets underneath. Went to Lehman's shop and he built out the credenza. MUCH more useable space now.
Never been on a 4037 with slides closed. Our access to 1/2 bath underway not bad. Access to fridge tight, but doable.

Thanks for your thoughts. I guess that either floor plan will work. I have noticed that the 4037 seems to be more popular, so there are more available. For instance, right now on rvtrader there are 8 4002s and 34 4037s.
I had already had decided that I wanted the computer desk option because, like you, I spend quite a bit of time on the computer at the table, and I thought the storage looked limited on the non computer table.

I dont know if one can infer popularity from those numbers. Some might conclude that 34 4037 owners are ready to move on, but only 8 4002 owners want to switch. LOL.

most of the 4037s are new 2018s
