I finally got my Ventana back from the dealership after they completed some warranty work.

Most of it was small stuff like some latches that didn't latch, a light that would only work for 15 minutes, etc. The biggest stuff was a bunch of cracked tiles and a gray tank monitor that didn't work.

Well, they replaced everything but the tank itself, and the monitor didn't work. Newmar gave them instructions for a display panel not used in my MH.

Eventually, they discovered that 2 wires were switched. That fixed it.

Also, for the second time, they left the wiring harnesses for the door side slides disconnected when they gave it to me.

At least this time they didn't leave 4 of the 8 slide locking arms unlocked.

They left all 8 slide locking arms unlocked.

This time I knew not to trust them and checked before driving away.

Now I have it back in time to winterize it.

I plan on doing it myself. I think I know what needs to be done, although the washing machine makes it a little trickier.

Amen brother! I don't understand why RV service places always seem to do that kind of stuff, they just don't finish, or can't remember what they've done. On my Winnebago, one time I got it back, they had removed and not replaced a fuse in the coach battery disconnect, so the whole coach was dead once I got it home. That took quite some time to figure out, and just dumb luck I noticed one side of the solenoid had a fuse and the other didn't. With the Newmar, last time in, when I got it back the Fantastic Fans didn't work. In the fuse cupboard I noticed a blown fuse laying on the bottom of the cupboard, sure enough, it was from the Fantastic Fans. They knew it was blown, took it out, layed it down, but didn't bother to replace it? Go figure. Given the service in the industry that people seem to get throughout this country, I think owning a MH if you didn't have some do-it-yourself in you, would be impossible. Anyway, I'm done venting.

69 Roadrunner,

If you remember, I warned you about the service there before you made the big plunge. Keep that in mind. I have had a problem almost everytime I have been there.

Unfortunately, the next closest Newmar dealer is 3 hours away. It's hard to get my father in law to help me drop off/pick up if I have to go that far.

I haven't set up any of my vehicles to be a toad, but I think I'll have to do that.
