Tipping on CPU?

I'm a week away from our delivery at Newmar. What is customary tipping for your delivery guy? I realize this is a very fluid topic given how well it goes and how we feel about the delivery. Any general ideas based upon previous deliveries is appreciated.

The only right answer here is to ask yourself when you leave did you feel you did the right thing. Think forward to that and do what you feel you want to do.

Some are ok with it, some are embarrassed/insulted. My opinion is that the techs believe they are fairly compensated.

That said, I have asked and one lead told me the techs really appreciate getting lunch paid for. It allows the lead to say in public that customer X appreciated tech Y’s work so much, they wanted to buy lunch for the group. Sometimes recognition is better than a few dollars.

I think if they do a good job all week and you get along with them....I would give them cash, gift card or a nice lunch. Or maybe a gift card to "Rise & Roll", the donut shop they call Amish Crack! (Just down the road from the factory).

We had a great tech and team do our CPU. Our coach was fully ready to go and the few issues the surfaced over the week were corrected quickly and properly. Our rep gave us knowledge of and confidence in our rig, so we thought it appropriate to reward his efforts. He was surprised by the gift and gracious in acceptance. A young man with a young family, working hard in a job he loves, but appreciative of recognition.

go with your gut, you will know what is right and appropriate.

Cheers,
j

Tipping

Been to Nappanee twice. Both times I would go to the Amish restaurant and buy fresh made pies. Everything is better with pie.
Do what you think is best.

I like the Dutch Kitchen for lunch. Bourbon Street Pizza is awesome. I went to Rise N Roll and brought crack to bring home. TSA wanted to seize it, but I was not having any of that. I also got a box of cookies for the flight attendants on my trip home.
