Tips on Replacing Auto Slide Lock Gasket?

Just started to get some water in the bedroom slide room when in heavy rains. It seems to be running down inside of the room side wall and wetting the carpet underneath. The location is directly below the auto lock arm assembly and also the side window. I checked the window carefully and it appears to have the drains open and no clear signs of being the culprit. The auto lock arm gasket does seem to be worn a bit (the gasket that the lock arm contacts when retracted and the room extended). I had this happen in a living room slide room some years ago but it was all fixed under warranty.

Has anyone replaced the lock arm gasket and willing to share any tips. It appears to be straightforward but still want to hear from anyone who might have done the job. I do have the Newmar slide room controller tool so I can move the lock arm independently when I replace it.

Thanks for any insights.
Ken

Shhhhh, the Newmar tool police might be reading this...... Remember those pesky letters from them (actually probably their lawyers) wanting to buy back all these tools????
That tool certainly ranks as one of the most useful and best get-er-back-on-the-road tools!

Sorry, I can't offer advice on replacing the gasket....

That was funny. I got the letter but I won't be sending it back anytime soon. I have to assume some folks did not know how to use it and either damaged their RVs and/or got hurt using it.

There is a nice set of instructions for using the tool. I have a copy if anyone needs it.
