We're seriously looking at get a Dutch Star.
Was just wondering what you folks do to run the tire pressure sensors on the wheels and are extensions needed for the inside Duals

Was just curious what was all required to set this up for that.

Thanks
Trap

Steel valve stems.

Extensions are not required but it does make life easier when you have to add pressure.

Our "05 Dutchstar has extensions factory installed. Can't imagine how
anyone would add/check pressure on the inside rear tires without?

We use a Doran tire pressure monitoring system with 10 sensors total, 6 sensors on the MH and 4 on the towed vehicle.
A couple of things to consider if you choose a tire pressure motoring system that uses sensors that screw onto the valve stems:

1) The sensors may extend beyond the tire making them vulnerable to be broken off along with the valve stem in car washes etc.
We had this happen to our towed vehicle in a car wash. The towed vehicle emerged from the car wash with a flat, broken valve stem and missing sensor. Long story but it was an unwelcome time and money consuming pain to get back on the road.

2) The sensors have mass that may affect the balance of your tires / wheels.

All that said. I would'nt drive without a tire pressure monitoring system.

Regards,
Bill and Nancy

Pressure Pro does not need extensions, Neither does Smart Tire or TST.. However as others have said, Extensions make life easier.

Or, if you are having the tires replaced or removed for any reason DULY VALVES (Just google for them) is the way to go, way better than extensions, more expensive too but hey. you get what you pay for.

As Mr_D said. Ours came with the extended steel stems. Sure makes things easy. Don't use monitors just an old fashioned pressure gauge.
