While at Spartan I had them weight my coach (02 Mountain Aire DP) they told me I should run 100# in the front and 90# in the rear. It just seems low. Was curious what pressure you guys run.
Thanks for any Information

Based on our weight and using the load inflation tables for our tires (Michelin XZA's) we run 95 front and 87 rears. So the psi you were advised to run is conceivable.

That sounds about right, but every coach is different and you have to do the math and consult the tire inflation table for your coach. I run 100 front and 90 rear in my 2009 Ventana, which weighs 27,980 fully loaded. Since the weight on the rear axle is spread over 4 tires (instead of 2 in the front), each rear dual tire requires less pressure. I also compute a safety factor of 500 lbs for each axle, just to be on the safe side. I'm attaching a PDF copy of an Excel spreadsheet that I developed to compute my own tire pressures -- you can easily modify it for your coach.

I have a 40' 2005 Dutch Star on a Spartan chassis. I have weighed my motorhome by wheel position six times and according to the Michelin chart I should run 100 psi in the fronts and 80 psi in the rears. I add 5 psi so I run 105 and 85. I get a smooth ride and it handles great.
Your information from Spartan sounds about right to me.

I should have asked what were the weights and the tire brand, model, and size.
How can anyone answer without that info?
I am running 110 in the front Michelin XZA3's Load Range H, and 95 in the dual Goodyear G159's. According to my recent weights from RVSEF those pressures are good. I may drop the front pressure a bit next summer.

Hi Don M.,
For the weight of my coach, I run 100 PSI in the front and 90 PSI in the rear. The PSI you were given does seem reasonable. It does depend on your coach weight and the specs of the tires on your coach.

Hi Ron,
We can answer Don M's OP because he asked "Was curious what pressure you guys run." The responses have provided that and additional information. Nowhere in the OP did Don M. ask what PSI he should have in his tires. If that question had been asked, the responses may very well have been different.
I see nothing incorrect about the responses.

Hi Don M.
XZA3s are nice tires, congrats. The Michelin truck tire inflation table for your tires shows:
single (front) application = 11380 lbs = 90 PSI
dual (rear) application = 19120 lbs = 80 PSI
At 100 PSI in the front tires you could carry up to 12380 lbs on the front axle. At 85 PSI you could carry up to 20060 lbs on the rear axle.
Go to Michelin Americas Truck Tires Reference Materials Page and download the Data book. The information is on page 18.

Oh, Ok... I didnt mean to disparage any of the responses. But was afraid that the OP would be lead astray by only considering what "others" used for air pressure.
BTW... it's you guys that have taught me about air pressure, and stuff; 007, Norm4015, et al.
