This is a fairly common problem on the electric toilet when tank gets full and the light comes on and won't reset. Probably the upper sensor is fouled. First, drain the tank, then backflush to clean the sensors. If that doesn't work, find the control module, usually hidden in the cabinet base. Disconnect the yellow wire (the alarm circuit) and the light will go off and the toilet will work. Watch the tank level to avoid filling until you get the alarm to reset.
At first opportunity to travel, pour a quart of Pinesol into the toilet and fill tank about 1/4 tank with water. Drive to slosh the liquid to clean the sensors. Backflush the tank and reconnect the yellow wire. all should be fine.

Go to the panel above the passenger seat and push the button. It will reset the lights.

So if you have a power failure, you can't flush?
Isn't there any manual override or disconnect?
I ask because we are picking up our 4369DS at the factory in May & it is our 1st coach.
Unless your house batteries are dead and your generator will not start you will always power for the coach

That is the one thing I hate about our American Coach is the Tecma toilets. The fact that no one in the mid luxury coach brands put anything much bigger than a 40 gal. black tank. These toilets use way too much water.

What I found on our coach is-- and this will sound weird-- is to press to the button to check tank settings. The lights have always gone off immediately after checking. Found this out because I couldn't believe the red light was on after dumping. Bingo off it went after checking.

These "inop electric toilet" threads are disturbingly commonplace. Just as "fouled tank sensor" threads have been common for the last 20 years or so. Why would anyone think you could combine the two technologies and have no problems?
Has anyone ordering a new coach opted to delete the electric toilet and go manual?

Only works if it is directly over (or very close) to the black tank.
We had manual gravity toilets in our old coach, but we also had to black tanks. One under each toilet.

The toilets on our 16 MA can be set for low or high water flush. Press the fill button and the flush button at the same time and hold for 5 seconds. The lights will blink meaning it changed to the other setting. Try it.

We have ours set for low water flush. They still use a lot of water.
I really wish the builders would stop assuming that mid to high end buyers are on full hookups at a times. We like to go to many parks that are elec/water only and a 40 gallon black tank is frankly just SMALL. Especially when we have two toilets.
We've learned that if we practice the old "yellow let it mellow" method, we can go 4 days before needing to dump. If we DO have full hookups and flush normally, we have to dump almost every day.
Someone call up the builders for me and tell them to go back to bigger tanks! LOL

The bath and a half floorplans have a decorator and a useful toilet. When the manuals are up to date they will explain that the decorator toilet needs a plastic bag in it before use which you dispose when full into an approved location/container. The picture shows boondocking in my first RV in 1971 and the sophisticated plastic bag toilet by the left door. RV2 was a huge upgrade with a porta-potty; my wife thought it was a great improvement. I wondered why she was not a fan of RVing when me & the boys thought it was great.
These bath and a half RVs will be forbidden in calif once regulators discover they use too much water.

Personally the electric toilets have far more to offer than conventional trap door toilets. They too (mechanical toilets) are subject to failure just as anything mechanical.. The foot lever can break, the trap door won't open they develop leaks etc etc.
Anything mechanical is subject to breaking. In this case, it was a simple fix. Electric toilets have mascerators built in thus no buildup in your tanks. In addition, they retain some water in the bottom of the bowl so no smell (like a trap on a sink) They are very efficient and I'd probably never go back to a mechanical toilet.
By the way, most of today's tanks have external sensors so filling up the tank to dislodge any matter on the sensor is a waste of time.
