Smile Took Delivery of our 2019 Dutch Star

Good morning all:
We took delivery of our beautiful 2019 Dutch Star 4018 from Tom Lindstrom RV on Thursday. Wow, what a coach! So many new things to learn that were not in our 08 Camelot. And the drive and ride? Holy cow, what a dream.
Tom recommended that we stay at the "Tom Lindstrom RV Resort and Spa" for the night just in case we needed something. Low and behold there was a small problem with the Oasis electrical that Mike took care of first thing Friday morning, and I had several questions for Scott that I had forgotten to ask during the PDI. Tom, Scott, and Mike are the best!! We had such a great experience and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new or used RV. First class guys all the way.
I also had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Stuart W. So nice to put a voice and a face to the many valuable posts on this forum.
Steffi and I are so happy to be part of the Newmar family and look forward to the wealth of information on this forum. I hope I can lend my knowledge and experience to do my part.
Have a great weekend.
Cheers,
Mike

Welcome to the Newmar family. Enjoy the new coach; good choice. Tom Lindstrom and his staff lived up to their stellar reputation once again. Glad to hear it.

Thank you all. Isn't it true? Family? Tom, his team, Stuart, certainly have made us family. Looking forward to meeting more of you in Paso in April.

judgebobk. We went Freightliner. Tom had it on the in stock. The ride? Tom asked me to call him when we reached Cava Robles yesterday. All I could say was, "Oh my God". Rides like a dream!

Gizmo. We bought it right after Thanksgiving. With the holidays, Tom was more than gracious to let us wait until the 17th of this month to take delivery, so we had a month and a half of anticipation. So well worth the wait. Best of luck whit yours.

Cheers,
Mike

Whatever you do, don't take the Tom Lindstrom metal license plate frames off. I've bought two Dutch Stars from Tom and I've taken the frames off of both. I'm a minimalist when it comes to things like that. I typically debadge all of my vehicles.

Well.....the first coach never had to go back for repair, so he never saw if it had the frames. I had to take the new coach in for a couple of minor adjustments last week and he saw that I removed the frames. Oh boy.....I thought I would never hear the end of it. He took me and two other owners to lunch while I was in there, for awhile......I thought I was going to have to pay.

I finally told him they were stolen and a police report had been filed.....he's not buying it!

That's a good one Don. Thanks for the tip. The last thing I need is the big guy busting my chops. My Cal Poly frame has always ridden in the back, so I'll move the TL frame to the front. You think Tom will that that slide? :0)
