Tool Bay Upgrade - Dutch Star 4018

I've always felt the pegboard wall in the tool bay was lacking in fit and finish. I asked Newmar to upgrade it to the King Aire style at my FPU, but they wanted ~$1,000. I would have done it then, but by the time they got the estimate together, I was at the end of my week.

So 13 months later I performed a field upgrade while camped outside of Yellowstone NP.

Pegboard wall was easy to remove but what a surprise behind it!

The wiring found behind the wall needed some organization.

I ordered a custom cut sheet of stainless and dry fit it just to make sure everything would line up. Stainless sheet shipped with protective plastic.

Before installing the new stainless wall, I drilled and tapped mounting holes for the stainless steel trays I selected to hold my detailing supplies.

The stainless trays are actually "Speed Rails" used in the bar industry to hold liquor and mix bottles. They work perfectly for me and compliment the new wall.

The finished product with detailing supplies loaded in.

I really like the effect this mod has had on my coach as I always felt my Dutch Star deserved something a little higher end here.

Vendors:

For stainless steel sheet custom cut to my dimensions and shipped to me at a campground. (I'm full timing and constantly on the move.)

For the speed rails.

How deep and tall are the rails?

BTW...I referenced your post on a thread I started on removing my TV from the same bay...it is your fault!
