We are in discussions for an '06 Torrey Pines 5ver, floor plan 35-RLPK. It is new, has sat because no one liked the dark wood. Not my 1st choice either, but the dealership is bending over backwards for us in getting rid of the poor Gulf Stream Super Nova. (Nice idea, but assembly was awful). We have the pick up to haul with, so decided to put it to use with a 5ver.

Anyone have any experience with this model? We had a Newmar MH several years ago and have always been pleased with their quality.

I'v been impressed with the finished product of interior of that 5th for the price. See what I mean.
There are not to many complaints from the fiver group on this forum most are happy from that I would guess.
Good luck in your quest and will welcome you to the group.

Sue, I think the Torrrey Pines 5er is a quality rig. The dark wood, is it Cherry? I personally love the darker woods. While, granted, they are not as bright inside, but I think have a higher quality classy look than some of the light colored.
You only live once, go for it.

Thanks for the welcome and info. You folks were so helpful when the tornado hit GS. We got more info from you than anywhere else in the beginning.

Yes it is the darker Cherry. Looks nice. We had Hickory in our Country Coach that was beautiful. With the blinds open and lots of light, this one isn't too bad. Our present rig has a medium maple. So we are progressing to darker wood.

We have given up on the big Class C. Nice idea, but just not a quality rig at all.

It will be a big switch going from a motorhome to the 5ver, but we have the truck so might as well make the switch. We like the room and floor plan and our dealer is doing a lot to help us get out of one and into the other.

We have an `05 Kountry Star 5er with the Cherry interior. We love it. Really looks nice. I have had 2 Newmar 5ers and both were good.
