Tour

We are looking to take tour during the factory build. Has anyone flown in for the day? If so, is there an airport near Newmar? Wondering how difficult this would be. Thanks!

Several years ago I bought a used RoadTrek from Phoenix RV in Elkhart. We flew into South Bend and drove it back to Virginia.

That’s probably the closest airport to Nappanee that offers commercial service.

Thanks, I have noticed a lot of Newmar owners here are from VA!

We bought our Ventana last year at Independence RV in Winter Garden, FL. They are a top notch dealership, so if you are down near Orlando and need warranty work performed give them a call.

I hope you join the Virginia Wheels. We are the local club of Newmar owners and part of the Newmar Kountry Klub. Really great group of people and we enjoy the rally’s. Not sure if you are able to attend the International Rally, but it is in Gillette, WY this year at the end of June. You’re half way there from Nappanee!

If you need any help or questions, feel free to send me a pm. I’ll be happy to help if I can.

Tom

We flew to Chicago Midway on SouthWest, rented a car and drove over. Fly in a day early then spend a few nights in the area. It takes about 3 hours to drive.

Hi micbob4,
South Bend is the nearest airport. Like posted earlier spend a few days in the area and take in it all in. In the past, tours are at 10 AM and 1 PM. Try to take the tour when your coach is entering the production line. Double check with Newmar to make sure. Pictures galore can be made. Get there before the insulation goes on and you can sign a wall! The coach will spend 4 days in production.

We've been there several times. The first it was into South Bend and out by Ft Wayne (snowstorm canceled the flight out of South Bend). From then on it was in and out of Midway. With Midway flight cost was substantially cheaper, the others the drive time was substantially less.

Also, be aware that in the off-season they may only have the tour once per day.
