I have a 1999 Mountian Aire and was looking at my trailer wiring today because the cover was broken on the 7 pin connector. While replacing the connector I found 2 wires tucked into the harness, one orange wire marked "tow aux" and a black wire not marked. I could not get any power to either wire. Does anyone know what these two wires might be for?

Newmar runs 2 extra wires from the connector to the dash area for aftermarket items.

I have an 02 MA and on mine the two extra wire run to the dash Remove the cover on your dash and they should end there they are not connected to any thing. On mine the wire that was connected to the trailer connector brake pin had 12 volts on it when ever the brakes were applied locking brakes on trailer. I used the two extra wires to run a brake controller fo my trailer

Thank you both! I will look under the dash cover tomorrow. I was hoping maybe I could rig the black wire for a toad battery charge wire.
