Trim Screw Oversize Hole
The windshield pillar trim screws are loose because the hole that they screw into has opened. I was thinking of using a plastic insert like you would use for drywall but I hate to drill the hole even bigger. Has anyone found a material to fill the hole so that the original screw can bite into it better. The material seems to be the same as the inside walls of the coach.

Try wrapping the screw with teflon tape.........

Never tried that before, if the hole is a little on the bigger side do you wrap more tape? That would be great and simple too!

Yes, Wrap the screw with it but not to the point that it will not pass through the plastic........that it is holding down.

Here is a trick I learned way back in Industrial Arts class. Take a wood match stick and dab a bit of glue on it. Insert it in the hole and let the glue set. If the hole is large insert another stick. Once set trim with a razor blade and reinsert your screw.

The material you are screwing in to is very then and "packing" doesn't work very well. I had the same problem and just found a slightly larger screw.

srrobe has the best solution .I use Popsicle stick and pick small peices from it ,jam it in the hole as pack as you can then screw in it ,it bits real well .if your looking for strength,do the same but dip the small peice of wood in to a epoxy .you can buy at the automotive store tube of epoxy like JB weld ,this dry like metal .it will work .

Find a small (6") zip tie. Put the end of the tie into the hole and re-install the screw until about 1/16" from all the way in. Cut the part of the zip tie that ls sticking out as low as possible in the screw hole and then screw the trim screw all the way down. THe screw will seat flush and hold tight.
