Trimark entry door keypad stopped working

I have been living in the coach for about 5 months now, and using the keypad daily to lock/unlock the entry door without any problems. Yesterday, I went to lock the door and inadvertently entered in my 5-digit code and pressed and held the 1 button. I know this is wrong... and ever since, neither the keypad nor the key fob works to lock or unlock the entry door. Now, after pressing 1 to lock the door, or entering in my code and pressing 1 to unlock the door, I hear 3 long beeps (not chirps) and nothing happens. Oddly, the same result comes from pressing the lock and unlock buttons on both of the key fobs. The key fobs unlock the basement doors but will not lock them... and the same happens with the keypad. The key still works to lock and unlock the door.

I have tried shutting off the battery switch inside the coach by the entry door. I burnished the two brass pin contacts on the door. I called Newmar, who haven't heard of this problem before. They had Trimark call me, who also have not run across this problem before. I searched this forum, but did not find the same problem.

Has anyone encountered this before?

We have a trimark keyless door handle that has progressed to not working. It started with odd sounding chirps, then the door keypad quite working, to the key fobs not working and the keypad flashing. While having some work completed at Foretravel, I was told to turn of the main breakers and it would reset. They did this and it reset. But we have continued to have problems. We ended up having to disconnect the house batteries to stop the flashing around the numbers. Trimark does not appear to have any method to contact them on their website. So if you were able to talk with them you were lucky. I am not impressed with their product or support.

Trimsrk's contact number is on their website. It is 800-447-0343. I didn't call it, so don't know if they are responsive.

I am not sure if that circuit is after the cutoff switch...

In the compartment under the drivers seat...there are two fuses that power the system. Pull them...wait a few...and reinstall them.

This worked for us.

It was a blown 5A fuse located in the bay below the driver's area - replacing this restored full operation of the keypad. I hadn't thought to initially check this as the keypad beeped on button press and lit up. Since the new fuse is holding up, I can only assume that the incorrect button press sequence above was responsible. Part of me wants to try this a second time to see if the fuse blows again.

The circuit board had a small sticker labeled, "5A" covering the fuse description, "Keypad", making it tricky to locate this fuse. I'm thinking of replacing all of the fuses with EasyID fuses so you can tell at a glance that they are blown without having to pull and check them. Thanks to my neighbor Bill for supplying me with a replacement fuse!
