Trying to mount FMCA plack on Dutch Star

I'm trying to find a location for the FMCA plack on my 2015 Dutch Star but since there doesn't seem to be any place on the rear I decided to just bolt it on the front end where a license plate would go if our state required one.
But with it fastened on the front where Newmar has the screw holes it won't allow the hood to be raised.
Anyone have any suggestions, other than re-drilling the holes in the plack or using a jig saw and cut about an inch off the top of the plack?

I'm fighting the same issue with my Ventana. Here's what I found that might work:

Do you have a ladder? This is the way I did mine using a 1/8"x 1" piece of aluminum strap. some U bolts, plus some nuts & bolts. The aluminum comes in 3ft lengths so you will have enough to mount everything and still be able to use the ladder.

Our '02 DSDP had a ladder so I used the rubber insulated hose clamps and stainless steel bolts to mount ours to the ladder.
The Magna has no ladder and our state requires a front plate. May just use mounting tape and stick them right to the rig. Still thinking it over.

The 2015 Dutch Stars do not have rear ladders, but 2014s did have. My previous Itasca did have a ladder and that's where I had it mounted. Seems many manufacturers have eliminated the rear ladder claiming it was for safety reasons, but we all know it had to be cost cutting.

Attach to Ladder

I use wire ties and attach it to the ladder on the rear of coach. One on each end of the plaque. It fits nicely and no holes to drill.
It makes for caution when climbing the ladder for roof access, but I've never been on the roof of my coach, so it really is not a problem for me.
Never thought some coaches don't have ladders. On the Ventana didn't have a front plate bracket( VA has two) so I used self tapping screws and attached directly centered on the front of coach. This could be done with the FMCA plaque at a location of your choice. How often would you change it???
Reminds me that I need to attach it to this coach,, Be Safe

Mount it on your rear mud flap if you still have one. I won't allow anything to touch my full body paint.

I mounted mine on the back of my front TV cabinet so that it is seen through the front windshield.

Get a blank white license plate (maybe put an IRV2 decal on it?) mount it where the front plate goes and then use the license plate goose egg hanger mounts with the goose egg below the blank plate.

Contacted FMCA and they offered double sided tape, which I definitely didn't want attached to the paint. Decided to just re-drill the two holes 3/8" higher which allowed the plate to be attached at the original front license tag holes and since the front end of the coach is painted black the two original holes in the plate hardly show at all. Now I can raise the front hood with the plate installed, problem solved, at least for me. Thanks for those who responded with several suggestions.

Dumb question.......do they cancel your membership if you decide you don't want the plaque on your rig? I am not currently a member, but have given it some thought ( like when I need tires)

How would they know if you are a member or not if you don't have the egg mounted????

You should consider the other benefits such as the FMCAssist program. Check it out here. FMCAssist

There is more to FMCA than just cheaper tires.

That's where I mounted it on 3 of my DPs. Zip ties made it easy.
