TV issue

TV on televator will not turn off, no response. I am trying to find power plug to unplug the TV. Any ideas where power is fed from below the televator and how to access? 2018 DS 4018. Thank you

Using remote? Are you sure there is not a power button along the bottom of the TV or built into the bottom of IR sensor? Usually there is a button possibly recessed.

Possibly this will help someone else. Located center bottom left is the power cord. VERY difficult to reach due to the lift. We have the Sony TVís and three times now they do not turn off or respond without unplugging.

You could call Newmar, but there should be a circuit breaker in the 110v panel for this. In ours they labeled it "Appliance". Be aware that this may also shut off your bedroom TV as well. This is the way our unit is wired.
Maybe the batteries in your remote need changed?
You might also consider updating the software for your Sony TV's with a good wifi connection of course. Maybe they have corrected this problem with an update.

The curse of a smart TV is having lockups and having to cold boot them on occasion.

for Sony have you tired holding the power button on the remote down for over 5 seconds? That is a reboot command and many times will work even when android TV is locked up. IF not you have to pull the power.

I find the easiest way to "reboot" my tv's is to use the battery disconnect.

There are power and control buttons located on ALL tv's. Usually along the bottom or up the sides. Chances are you Remote batteries are dead.

Our Sony TV did this a few times before it died. Your timing might be great with Black Friday around the corner. If you're within 1 year of purchase, Newmar will get River Something or other to authorize replacement, and they send you a check. You get to go buy a new TV. You probably won't be able to find the exact same TV, so the televator top won't fit. And you get to install it yourself or find someone to do it.

Turn off the breaker for the inverter circuit. That should kill the tv. It should not come back on when you turn the breaker back on.

Hi - Just flip the breaker in the bathroom for whatever side your TV is on. It will be labeled something like passenger side s/o.

Itís difficult but you can reach the power cord through the opening of the televator. Unplug, count to 25 and plug back in. When it comes on, make sure you have connection for internet enabled on tv. Download update. That will most likely solve your problem. Most likely you will need to do it for the other tvís also.

I did this until I realized the breaker method was way easier. Both of my TVs do this. A software update is said to resolve the issue (connect the tv to your WiFi and perform an update).
