I'd like to get behind the front TV in my Mountain Aire. There are no seams in the woodwork surrounding it so it is obvious that there is a way in other than removing the frame. While at a dealer last week, I saw a similar RV with the TV out. I noticed that that one of the louvered panels on the windshield side of the housing was removed. It appeared that it was only held in by a couple of dabs of silicone or something similar. Once the panel was removed, it looked like you could reach up and unbolt the TV from its holder.

Does anyone know if this is the right way to access the TV? I hate to start prying on one of the louvered panels only to find that it is "permanently" attached and I break it.

Hi Ken,
I don't know your model MH,but on my 05 KSDP, I had to remove two
buttons on the right side of the TV and take out 2 screws.
On the left side was one button and then one more screw in the upper
left cabinet.
After this I just pulled the bezel (frame) straight out.(The frame has things like blades attached on each side)
Your situation may be similar.
Siggy D.

On the MADP there is nothing like that.

I've checked for any kid of fastener or seam of any kind and there isn't one. Until I saw the unit with the TV removed and the louvered panel off, I had no idea of how to proceed. I knew there had to be a way to take the TV out, but there are no apparent ways to separate the cabinet. No seams, screws, hidden screws behind fillers, etc. I'm pretty sure the way in is from the windshield side. But it would be reassuring if someone had tried this before me. I hate to start prying things apart, but it seems that this is the only way to go.

I wanted to get access to the rca plugs at the back of the tv. The techs at the factory told me to use a putty knife to carefully remove the louvered panels from the back near the windshield to get access to the rca plugs for the tv. They are held in with clear silicone. That should let you see from the back and see how the cabinet is put together.

Thanks -- that is what I thought. Now I will have less fear when I pry off those panels.
