We have a 2000 Mountain Aire MH. It's time to switch the front TV as it is going out and digital is coming. How can I remove that TV?

There are 2 screws below the front of the TV that appear to loosen the bottom of the frame holding the TV in. I cannot locate any other screws and do not want to force anything which would cause the frame to break. It does not seem that there is enough room for the frame to go upwards as if it were on a hinge or catch of sorts.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Chuck

You may have two screws each side in cabinets or under buttons on frame of surround.
The TV is held down by a metal plate screw into bottom of TV. There will be two screw up in front of plate screwing into floor bottom of cabinet.

On my 99 DUTCH STAR the screws are on the inside of the compartments that are on each side of the tv.
I think there are 2 screws on each side.

Good luck,
Rich

Skippers__1:

Once you get it figured out please let us know how you got the TV out. I have tried but couldn't find any other screws but the ones in the bottom just inside the trim.

Thanks!!

Here is just part of the update thread

Removal of Old TV
First you need to remove the bezel around the TV. You have to remove the button covers from both sides of the bottom of the TV.

Next you need to remove 2 screws from the inside of both cabinets.

Now you can remove the bezel.

Mine is a '99 DS and the only screws are just inside of the trim holding down a black metal bracket.

There are no outside screws and there don't appear to be any screws coming in from the side cabinets. I have pried jently on the oak trim and it seems to be pretty firmly in place. I hope to get a HDTV in the nest month and then I will get more serious.

I have also checked for Duct Tape and bailing wire and so far, have had no esults.
