We are looking for the antenna booster because we are thinking it might not be working. Does anyone know where this is located? What it looks like? We suspect that ours might not be working. Unfortunately we haven't been where we've had a good antenna signal in the last month so testing has not been possible. Right now we are using the cable supplied by the RV park.

However, the little light that shows when the booster is on is so faint now that you can barely see it and it used to be bright. At the last place although we got little TV over the antenna we initially did get a couple of channels. That went away and then we got none so we are thinking the booster may be the problem.

Thanks up front since we don't have the slightest idea where it is.

OK we found it. It is actually on the back side of the plate on the wall behind the passenger seat. There is a circuit board that looks totally corroded. It would seem that it got wet, but there is no other indication of water intrusion in the wall cavity, the insulation, etc. So, not sure what caused it, but it appears we just need to find a new one.

Take a good look at the cable coming down from the roof. Water might have seeped through it. Might need to replace the cable too.

Found the part on eBay and ordered. Hopefully it will arrive before we leave here next weekend. Hope this works as Don tested the corroded one with a multimeter and said all voltages were correct, so not sure this is the culprit, but only $19.95 plus $7 shipping. Hope it fixes. Thanks all.

Just for information, the booster s actually up in the antenna. The box and circuit board inside is a power supply for the booster, and an A-B switch between your antenna and cable connection. That said, all the other recommendations are right. Replace it, and find out why it got wet. Also, if you use a voltmeter at the antenna, there should be 12v between the coax and shield of your cable at the antenna. If not, cable is probably bad or wet somewhere.

noelj has it exactly right.
I'm guessing you have a Winegard batwing (a.k.a. Sensar). You should have 12v at the coax going into the batwing when that light on the board you are replacing is on. It is just a power supply and and Antenna-CATV switch. If the amplifier (which is inside the batwing itself) is bad www.RVUpgrades.com has the Winegard Sensar batwing brand new about as cheap as anyone $70.59 + ~ $8 shipping. It is NOT on their web site, call instead and order part 22-1277.

No. the booster is in the middle of the antenna.

What you found was the power supply and the RF switch

Note: There are very very good reasons for putting the amplifer in the antenna head.. At that point line loss in the coax cable is equal to zero.zero db.. (Since there is not, yet, any cable) so the signal does not get any stronger unless you amplify it.

Once you start feeding lowest-bidder RG-59 Signal drops like a rock, and the amplifier can generate more noise than signal.

I thank everyone for their response. Understand now that this is the power supply for the antenna, not the amp itself. However, this is what was bad. Have replaced it now with a new one bought from eBay for less than could find it elsewhere. It is installed and everything works fine now. Thanks again.
