TV Switch fuse location?
Age old question can't find a fuse.
My TV selector in the overhead drivers compartment seems to be without power. No fuse in sight in the compartment.
Anyone have any idea where this fuse is located?
I've checked under the dash fuse panel by the instrument cluster and in the front engine compartment fuse panel and in the outside compartment by the power cord.
I've changed out the fuse that said "TV antenna UP" just in case, but no luck.
2003 DSDP 4005
Thanks
Chris

Hi cvbdsl,
Newmar used different brands of selectors. Is it the Winegard Distribution Center? If not what is the brand?

Are you talking about a Matrix Switch (Box of many buttons) or Wall plate used to select the video/RF source for the TV? (either one does not matter which)
If so that is a HOUSE item on most RV's look for your HOUSE fuse block and test all fuses.
HOW to test fuses two ways
I have a progressive Dynamics fuse box.. Look for the red LED indicating a blown fuse (That was easy wasn't it)
Method 2 you need a 12 volt TEST LAMP (Any auto parts place including many Auto Departments in stores like Wal*mart, Sears, K-mart et-al)
Ground the clip (Any handy ground if needed you may extend)
On each end of a blade fuse there is a small window with a bit of metal below (inside) the window. Touch one end, then the other
Light-LIght = Good
Light-Dark or Dark-light = bad
Dark-Dark = bad ground or bad test light.
replace the one that is light on one end dark on the other.

tks, I forgot about the fuse box in the bedroom. I'll check that out today.
UPDATE - just checked all the house fuses in the bedroom, they are all OK.

If you push the button way to left on control, do you get a red led to light?
Fuse locations found in QT's # 3.

Hi cvbdsl,
Thanks for the update. Sorry for the delay to get back to you. Our coaches should be similar. Find the 12 VDC fuse buss for the coach 12 VDC circuits (not the auto circuits but the coach circuits). There is a 20 AMP fuse labeled TV/Stereo in this fuse buss. This is the fuse that provides power to my Winegard Distribution box.

Sorry for the late replies - on the road and haven't had a good wifi connection for a few days.
The red light does not go on anymore when the button is pushed. This was my indication that something was not right.
tks
Chris
