TV went dead Bummer

So the Sony Tv on the lift went dead. The power light is on, there is a slight change of gray on the screen but no sound or picture.

The over the cab front TV works as well as the outside TV. they are all on the same channel so there is a signal.

It worked yesterday and has not had any issues in the past.

Unable to change inputs on the lift TV. So I'm not sure what to think is going on. Perhaps it has gone kaput.

Ideas?

Thanks

Cut the power to the tv for 5 min. Turn power back on. If you can reach behind the televator you pull the plug. If not. Kill the breaker. Then connect tv via internet and do firmware update.

The only suggestion I have is to unplug the set. Give it a minute and plug it back in and see if it resets. The plug to ours is on the kitchen side on the wall behind the set.

I had the same problem with that TV, as others have suggested, unplug the TV for a few minutes. It should then work ok. There is a fix available, when I was last out at Nappanee, my tech used a USB drive to update the firmware on the TV. No problems since. It may also be available via download.
Good luck,
Bill

Thanks everyone. That fix worked. Unplugged and waited for 20 min and it works now. Thanks for the help.

Wish all fixes were that easy.

Hi Golfer Guy,
It is going to do it again and again unless you install the software upgrade.

Gary how do I get the Firmware update. No way to plug Ethernet cable into Surface Pro, just a USB connection. Where do you get the update?

Thanks

When you are on wifi, you should be able to go to settings on the tv, connect to your wifi, then download the updates. The menu screen should have a system update on it.

Thanks Bill, last night I found that in the TV settings. Looked for systems updates and it showed "no updates available"

If it dies again I at least will know how to fix it.

Thanks

I had the same issues with my Sony TV. Powering off/on does resolve the issue. Doing a system update does NO good. Had Newmar replace two TVS because of the issue. All done under warranty
