I want to add a 12 volt acc. outlet to the front of my 2000 MADP. The 2 outlets on the dash are from the chassis batteries. Is there an easy way to get coach battery power to the dash area to run 12 volt acc. from this area ?

Hi trower,
Coach battery power should already be in the dash, somewhere. To find it, turn off the chassis batteries with the disconnect switch or disconnect the chassis batteries. The only power left is coach battery power. One now needs to use a meter and find 12 VDC.

Thanks

There are two ways, depending on your chassis or coach wireing.

For this discussion I will use MY rig as the example.. Mine is built on a Workhorse W-series, it's a Damon Intruder

First, the short path: Under the "hood" there is a box labeled "Intelletec Battery Control Center" among other things it's a fuse box with spare slots,, You simply use one of those spares and route a wire from it's terminal through the firewall to the new lighter.. Lighter sockets may be rated 10-20 amps, use a fuse that matches the rating of the outlet.

Method 2: Long path.

The "House fuse box" is in my coach (A very nice Progressive Dynamics) is about 25 feet back of the front bumper, in a hall, it too has spare slots... Same procedure but a much longer wire run.
