Two burner induction only good for 1 burner
Our 2017 DS has the removable 2 burner induction stove. We discovered that the max of the 2 burners is 10 so it is 9 and1, 8 and 2, 7 and 3....... not 10 and 10. Has anyone found a replacement so that you can use each burner 1-10? I know it was designed this way to run on one cord and taking it out is not important to me.
We found it out when trying to boil water for pasta while making the meat sauce! Verified the operation in the manual and can not find anything on-line.
Hopefully someone has a solution - we do have a stand alone one that we use.
Thanks

Hi -The difference is a 110 line vs. a 220 line and all that goes with it. You can get a unit that will do what you want but the financial costs will be high.

You may have to buy a covered 12" skillet or crockpot that plugs into a 120 volt socket for simmering the sauce and boil the pasta on the induction cooktop. Otherwise, a 240 volt inverter or generator plus 240 volt induction cooktop will do the job at much higher cost.

Not a great solution, but how about buying a portable unit (single) for when you need the extra cooktop.
We bought a portable unit to use outside for occasional cooking. We also have a small portable propane burner (single) that we keep in the coach when boon docking. Good for heating water or soup.

I bought a single hob portable induction cooktop just to try it out. Liked it so well I converted the MH to a two hob unit. It's a True Induction brand and 120 volt unit also. As was said, the OP can get what they want but it'll take a new 240 volt cooktop and wiring, plus it won't run off the inverter, maybe not even the generator since you need a 10 or 12.5K unit to produce 240 volts.

The True Induction two burner unit will split power between the two burners. (10 - 0 or 5 - 5, etc). Alternative would be a unit like Tiffin used which only worked on 50A service iron generator. If the split power is not satisfactory to you, you can buy a single burner tabletop unit for about $70 on Amazon.

Actually, it's worse: top setting is 7 when both burners are on.
You CAN get them to both to accept a 450 temp setting, but I think the unit cycles between them and still limits output.
My standalone Duxtop boils water faster, anyway. I use the in-counter unit for things that don't need fast or high heat. Conversely, the standalone also has a lower low temp setting. So I also use it for the gentle warming. It ALSO allows setting increments of .5 (vs 1) or 15 degrees (vs 30). We leave it out all the time and it doesn't budge as we drive.

Maybe replace the two burner with two of these. You would have to find another circuit to bring in, but they would be independent and run at full power. Size looks close. Now, just have to find that extra 120 leg.

I already have a single unit to supplement what is there. We have a 10 kw and have 240 VAC it is just a shame to have a beautiful coach with a 2 burner stove top that is really only one! Does anyone actually remove this top and take it outside? I would have voted against that option had I known. Does anyone have the link for the 240 VAC model?
Thanks
Bill

I take it outside to cook stinky stuff like fish, onions, Brussels sprouts :-)
You could get a super duper burner but it looks like it'll take up your drawer also:
