I was at a terrible campground (Meaher State Park) near Mobile, AL..got set up and connected to 50A...it was about 96 degrees...after about 2 hours, the power went out for a minute then came back on...it did this 2 more times within a few minutes..I thought it was a CG failure...on the third time I was looking at my Progressive Industries inside panel and it was showing 101-102 volts!! My system will shut er down with over 132 or under 104 volts...worked as described and probably saved my 2 ac units from burning up with high amperage....I checked out after 2 hours...sounds like a fun hotel quickie!! This was the HW 50C..I highly recommend it...

After arriving at a new CG an hour away I noticed that my fridge was getting warm...I went outside and the burner was not hot..I called my local shop that was still open and was told its likely the thermistor iced up....checked it and sure enough...there was an ice ball on it....I removed it and the burner came on and it was fine...

That was one of the first things I put in my coach back in 2002 and than I had it transfered to my 2005 coach, I wouldn't travel without it, insurance for all your electrical components. Ed.S

I had one of the Progressive Industries ESM system installed at Gillette. I now breath easier knowing that I have it to protect my coach from low voltage.

You are right, it is a good unit. Had mine installed professionally at the International in DuQuoin. Tommy F. and Robert S. run an honest business and have been good about replacing burned circuit boards for me. If you develop a problem, they are there to support the product. ED

Did your local shop say why the " ice ball" would cause the control board not to turn on gas flame. Have to remember that. Could see it happening if you were having power outages.

It didnt matter whether on elect or gas...the ice on the thermistor told it it was cold enough and no need to run...basically a frost problem with all the terrible humidity around here lately...been working fine since I defrosted that single part...
