Hello,

we just purchased a used 2007 Baystar 3304. We are extremely happy.

Right now I have two problems that I can't seem to figure out:

1) when I switch on the generator, I don't get 110V power in the coach. In my old RV I had to plug in the shore line into a power outlet from the gen, but I believe that the new RV should be automatically switching. Any hints as to what could be wrong (besides the transfer switch not working)

2) The RV is parked, all systems off, and in store mode. There is a constant sound coming from the engine compartment, which sounds like a small pump is running.

Any suggestions?

Paul.

Did you check the breaker on the generator itself. If it is tripped the generator will run but will not put out any power. Try resetting the breaker then start the generator. On mine it takes a minute to actually start supplying electricity to the coach.

I don't have any suggestions as to what the other issue could be.

thank you - it was the circuit breaker on the generator and it did take more than a minute to switch.

the other sound seems something wrong in the engine compartment. I disconnected the engine battery now so it doesn't completely drain and will drive it to a repair shop as soon as possible.

thanks.

Welcome Paul to the forum and Irv.
Here is a brochure for BayStar and here is a Owners Guide if you need them.
If you open your hood can you find what is causing the noise, it could be your hydro boost brake motor making the noise.
A switch on brake is not fully releasing or some leads off switch maybe crossed.
With everything off if you hit you brake peddle you will hear the pump activate which is normal.
Congratulations on coach and welcome to the Newmar family.
