Tyron?? And an Extended Warranty on a new coach??

Just ordering our new coach and saw an optional charge for something called Tyron. What is it and should we get it? Understand it has to do with the tires.

Also as far as an extended warranty on a brand new Newmar coach, is it even needed? Really?
We are of the philosophy that extended warranties for the most part are items that make money for the dealer. We will have plenty of insurance and roadside assistance, so wondering if anyone has experience with this?

Tyron's are bands that are installed around the center of the tire rim, usually just on the front tires. In the case of a blowout without Tyron's most of the time loss of control is contributed but the rim of the tire moving into the center section of the rim which is lower. Tyron's stop the tire rim from falling into this crack. Like most add-on opinions will run the gamut of greatest safety item ever invented to no interest. They would be installed by the dealer, not from the factory. Search Tyron on the forum for more information.

We passed on all dealer add ons and feel good about it. Put that money in the bank for a rainy day. :-)

It is incredible how much support is available here for the entire network of RVers. We just got the roadside assistance (can't remember the name of it) and that's all.
But I feel as though we were well informed.

It will be 5 long months until the coach is finished.
