Just for info, I was checking into the DEF filter for my motorhome, and according to Spartan, the filter in the attached file is only good up to 2016 models. For 2017 and newer the part number is 4388378 or UF106. When we were at the Spartan Academy they suggested that we keep one of these filters on hand as there is no limit to the shelf life.
OK, I'm still checking as my filter housing looks to match the UF101 filter as shown in the attached file and not the UF106 that I can find online. I'll update when I can get confirmation.

I read the article the other night before my appointment in Gaffney. I asked if they replace the DEF filter when they do service and they showed me the schedule from Cummins that requires this every 60,000 miles (on newer coaches it is 90,000 miles). Now i'm not sure if this should be replaced yearly as the article implies.

The filter is probably not required to be changed that frequently, but at our Spartan Academy training, they recommended that that is one of the filters you should carry. They mentioned that there is no limit on the shelf life for them, so no problem with carrying one with you.

Thanks, Roger! With a DP purchase in our near future, this is all new to me.

Ok I confirmed with Cummins, the DEF filter for my coach is a UF101. There is a newer filter UF106, so if your coach is the newer X15 it may need the time 106 filter.
