Front slides will not move. Put the curbside slide out for a few minutes while parked. Won't go back in and no other slides will move either. This happened after I put the rear bedroom slide back in.

Seems like a blown fuse. Lucy doesn't start talking either. Can't tell if gold fuses in bathroom are blown.

Anyone help please ASAP.

Sorry guys. Engine was running and I forgot about lock-out. Called Newmar and they reminded me. I have to leave now and will log on later for well deserved ribbing.

When you got a 5 & 6 year old waiting to get to Disney the pressure was intense. I folded in the clutch.

Glad you got it figured out Scott. For future referrence should you have a slide that will not operate try this.

Four Slide Model:

Each slide has its own controller. They are mounted two on each side of the basement overhead rail, about midship. The forward one operates the forward slide on that side while the rearward the rear. You will notice a large wide plug connector inserted in the top of each. The wires are long enough to reverse the plugs from forward to rear or vice-versa. If say your front righthand slide would not operate, try moving the forward plug to the rearward controller. This would effectively bypass a failed controllor.
I have a manual switch box designed and sold by Newmar to manually control any slide in the event of any failures including both the controllor and all the safety sensors. I've never needed it yet.

Hey Peter!! You back from the trip??

So this switch box by-passes the controller??
Would a dealer sell this switch box or only Napanee??

Yep, I'm back. I don't think a dealer would know what you are even asking for. I got mine at Napanee.

Peter,

Glad you are back. I did try to buy the controller in February on your advice then. Turns out, it isn't applied when you don't have auto locking slide arms. My wonderful dealer told me not to order them. A huge regret.

I believe the controller was around $125 and only available in Napannee.

I am very surprised not find Bob and Dirk firing away at me on this one. I am glad I was in a deserted place and my kids were out of earshot. I will say that I am now intimate w/ALL of my fuses and control boxes.

I will also say that now that I was not stranded, it will take a lot to get me upset on this trip.

No Paul, I figured you'd just save it up for IAAPA so it was in person.

Scott, What better way of getting friendly with you coach fuse hiding places than having a panic situation. When or if you get your MA you can start all over again.

Scott - don't feel bad - I too react like you when confronted with a coach problem.

Glad all is well, and you're having fun.
