I'm living proof that the mind is a terrible thing.

I have an air compressor in my garage at home. Would it make sense to get an 11 gallon air tank, fill it up at home, and keep it in the Ventana for topping off MH tires?

I could refill it at the campground using the coach's air, which would be less stressful than the side of a highway.

It could also be filled up at gas stations where the air hose is not in a MH-friendly location.

Would the 11 gallon tanks you can get at Sears, etc. hold enough for topping off tires?

This would only make sense if the tank would do a much better job than a long hose connected to the MH's air system.

Yes, no, maybe. We have only had to add air once in two years on this coach and our previous coach twice in three years. Airing off the coach is no problem-if it will handle the PSI needed for your tires.

With the large size and the relatively high pressure of the tires, I doubt if you could get much real help from a portable tank. Besides, an air hose could be stashed in many convenient places but a tank is always going to be in the way of important things. My choice would be the hose. Besides, you can use it to blow up inflatable lounge chairs.
