Using 360 Camera View
I have just started playing around with 360 camera views on my new DSDP. How are other owners using this system? Other than night time security view I have not found any real benefit. Would love to hear what other owners are doing with this feature.

We use it as you mention for security. I like that I can see the 360 on myrozie from anywhere with the coach coupled to my Verizon unlimited jet pack, really cool. But I use the computerized version anytime I am backing up, really reassuring, especially in backin sites to watch all sides with one view on part of the screen and rear camera on rest of the screen.

I find the overhead view very handy viewing the front and midship while pulling in and out of tight spaces, I modified the way mine was hooked up from Newmar, before the rear view and 360 would both shift to the turn cameras. Now I have the 360 continue to monitor my Toad.

They have a New Aire, has a totally different system, DS does not have this option.

Stuart, how’d you make the camera change. I find the turn cameras very distracting. It would be my preference to always have the toad in view.

Is this simple to do?
Could it be done at FPU?

Using 360 Camera View
Behind the radio there is a control unit for the 360 cameras, going to that control unit are several input wires, two of them are left and right turn signal inputs, so when the turn signals are activated the 360 camera unit gets the signal to switch that view. Cut the two wires and your done. Pretty simple to figure out with a test light.
The end result is you get a view of the turn from the backup system and a view of the TOAD from the 360
On a 19 it should even be easier as there is an access panel on the dash above the radio

I’ve had the access panel off , you’re right it should be an easy change.
Thanks for the great idea!

How are the wires marked or labeled?

Thanks for that tip! I have been wanting to make that change myself. The side view with the turn signal is very distracting when changing lanes.
Also used the 360 view backing in a tight space today and was able to accomplish it without my DW's input as a spotter, we were both thrilled

We use it mostly when traveling down the hiway. You can see other cars on either side in blind spots and the rear 360 camera gives another (different) view of the towed.

I love the concept and use it while driving as well as maneuvering in tight spaces and parking. Wish the DS had a larger screen as it is much nicer view on the luxury coaches with the larger display screen. I also mounted a second screen (10") below the front overhead cabinets as my DW was not happy she could no longer see the passenger side mirror in the DS as she was able to do in our 2 previous coaches.
An added benefit I didn't expect to the second screen is that it will continue to display the camera views if I change the Xite unit display screen to Navigation or radio. I have not yet performed Stewart's modification to eliminate the turn signal view from Xite.
