Using touch up paint

We all from time to time get a scratch or 2 on our coaches.
Just got a small one on my 2015 DSDP.
Tried to touch it up with the touch up paint that came with unit.
Always seems I put too much on so it's bad.
Tried using a toothpick to fill it in just a bit but no success.
Any of you have any experience and techniques that get the job done?

First store your touch paint in the fridge. We learned this at the factory. We have paint from 2011 still able to use.
Using a paper match stick works best. I am not sure I would try to keep up with the touch areas now put since we started I just touch up a couple place on Essex.

I have never used the brush that comes with any touch paint, buy a fine/tiny artist brush like this, and go in when you are steady, refreshed, and after coffee and before your daily favorite beverage
And good/clean glasses if needed.........
We all have them(Any vehicle), and I remember just where we were, and how they all happened............part of the Journey.........only you will see them after touched up.

Dave......I keep these handy for touching up paint. http://www.tcpglobal.com/TCP-MB-2420...g#.WHvM14WcGZ8 I think Harbor Freight sells them or you can order them online. Depending on the scratch, I do different things. On the black areas of the coach, where it's a thin scratch, I use a Sharpie in the scratch and the buff when dry. The larger chips, I used the brushes I linked to.

Sometimes, you have to do the touch up in two or three tries. The first one is usually shallow and you still see a hole. A couple of more follow up applications fill the hole. I let it dry for a day or so and then buff.

I've been doing it for years, but have found no matter what I do, you'll never get it to disappear. I think some of these custom restoration shops actually use an airbrush to fill in chips and scratches.
