Do these leak? Is there any prep needed such as a sealer or locktight? Is it ok to just screw them on and go? Just wondering before I put them on if I should do anything to prevent losing air.

Thanks

Since you didn't say which kind of extensions you are talking about all I can say is most valve stem extensions have a reputation of leaking. I always recommend getting dually valve stems which are solid metal.

Dually Valve - Main Frameset

B-in-L had a set of the, no air in the extension type. 2 months and 4 inner dually flats ; he threw them away.

Our 2002 DSDP came with flexible extensions, never a leak.
