Vanity Lights

I have an electrical question, yesterday morning I got up and the vanity lights would not come on, the bright ceiling lights would also not come on but the dim lights would light. I checked my fuses and the 20 amps fuse was blown. I replaced and turned on vanity lights, blew it again. Not being very smart I tried one more time, blew again but the dim lights in the ceiling would still come on but bright lights would not. Evidently the bright ceiling light and the vanity lights are on the same fuse, the dim on another, the question how can this be, same switch for bright and dim lights, different switch for vanity lights. The only thing I found is one of the vanity lights has a broken receptacle but it has been that way for over a month. This just happened in one day from working good to blowing fuses. Could there be a short in the vanity lights,

I'd say yes you need to take a look at that broken socket or have someone do it may need replacement.

I would really like to remove the 12 volt bulbs and replace them with LED but I cannot find a decent looking vanity fixture. The one that is in my Dutch Aire look good but are engineered terrible, to tighten the globes you mush tighten the plastic into metal with results in stripped plastic threads when it is tight enough to not rattle. I would like a fixture that decorative bulbs in a 3=4 bulb bar. Camping world has one that I am going order unless I find one at the rally in Illinois next week, I am not sure what will be there???
