Vent Caps Missing

I have been cleaning and waxing the motorhome recently getting it ready to head south in a few weeks. While on the roof I noticed two of the three vent caps were missing from the 2 inch pvc vent pipes that extend through the roof. Since I was unable to locate these on the internet I contacted Newmar who will ship them out today at a cost of $1.50 each. I am not sure how long they have been missing.

Not a Newmar, but mine are still on my 18 year old Safari.

I had a couple cracked so replaced all with this one. They do a real good job of getting rid of tank odours.

If your gray and black waste systems are working properly you don't need $18 cyclone roof vents, (or any other gizmo or gadget).

Thanks for sharing that. It is a tank full of the crap. Not sure I understand how to make it "work properly" other than providing a positive vent. Which this gizmo does very effectively.

As does a "ordinary" vent cap.... if/when every seal, P-trap and air admittance valve, (in both the gray and the black sewer systems), are "working properly". (aka: as they are designed to work).
When everything is "working properly" NO tank odor will enter the RV....(unless an occupant of the RV screws-up and runs a vent fan, opens a window while driving, or otherwise causes a "negative pressure" in the cabin of the RV).
