Newmar told my salesman that my 09 Ventana is scheduled to hit the road on Friday. He doesn't expect it to actually arrive until early next week.

That's fine, I couldn't get there to pick it up until next week anyway.

Thanks! I can't wait, but it is a bit intimidating since this will be my first.

I already have reservations for the Jellystone Camp Luray in a few weeks. This is a crazy month for us. I might try to do a weekend at Lake Fairfax next weekend. It's about 15 miles away and has a great waterpark for young kids.

Just remember to take your time during your PDI, take notes if you aren't sure on how certain systems work and make sure you ask questions.

Good luck with your new coach, I know we were chomping at the bit to pick ours up when it was getting close.

ENJOY!

Congrats on your soon to be delivered Ventana. I don't live too far from you(Middletown, Md) -- Let me know when and we'll get together some weekend soon if you need any help or advice with your new coach -- that is if you can handle hanging out with a family who drives a 69 Camaro. LOL

If at all possible, video tape your delivery, it will prove invaluable.

69 Camaro? Well, I guess we could talk.

Hey, I'm a Mopar guy, but I like all musclecars.

I have a good friend who lives in Middletown. I'm sure we'll find a time to get together. This month is just really crazy for us.

That's one of the reasons why I want my wife to be available. She'll learn and hopefully remember what I forget, but I also want her to tape the PDI.

Great idea!

Congrats on your pending coach arrival. We have been very pleased with all facets of our 2008 Ventana; I hope you have the same experience with yours.

You might think about scheduling a service appointment during your delivery process for a month or so afterwards. Regardless of how much time you spend with your PDI technician you are bound to find things after delivery. I have found that during what I will call the "discovery and loading process" is when I really do the detailed inspection of the coach. During PDI and delivery, my mind goes into data overload, then the eyes glaze over, and then I am done. I am sure you will speak to your service center a lot during the first few weeks of ownership; I can not emphasis enough that you should call with any questions that will undoubtedly pop up.

Enjoy, Enjoy, Enjoy.

Spike
