Ventana shower problem and fix?

2017 Ventana and the rubber gaskets on the shower head slide are coming out. I am talking about the part that holds the shower head and slides up and down the rod. One gasket is out and the top one is coming out. When it comes out the head will fall to the bottom of the rod. Think I will try replacing the rod part and my question is, anyone else done this and what part did they use? Going to Lowe's to look for parts. Any help will be appreciated. Bill

Ours did the same thing about a month or two after delivery. I must have taken it apart 3 or 4 times and re-set that top rubber washer/gasket. My dealer finally just ordered a whole new assembly. It was the same design except slightly longer so the same holes don't exactly match up. I still have it sitting in the box.

What has worked for the past several months is leaving the top rubber gasket out and just keeping the bottom one in. We can still push the side button in easily and move it up and down. It stays in place and I can't see where water getting inside that assembly will hurt anything.

Mine is the opposite. The bottom gasket fell out months ago but the top gasket is hanging in there. Disappointed in Newmar for choosing this cheap set up.

Thanks for the replies, on mine the bottom one came out months ago but now the top one is coming out. I know what will happen when it does so going to Lowe's today to look for solution. Will keep you posted. Bill

Today the other gasket came out and lo and behold the shower head does not fall to the bottom of the rod. I think I will watch it a few days and if no problems occur I will just cut the black gaskets off and proceed. Bill
