Video for calibrating your tank monitor panel

Hi,

I just saw this video on YouTube showing how to calibrate the tank monitor panel installed on many Newmars... thought it might be of help to other Newmar owners:

Thanks for the update. Haven't personally had any problem with our tanks or readings but if we should ever come accross someone that has, at least we can give them some advice to remedy their problem.

Thanks for the link
"John".
Now we have the new and the old ones. We have the one for the highline E-PLEX SYSTEMS also.

Easiest way to adjust the old system is monitor the toilets pipe into tank after a few days and adjust the small pot above the indicator to full.
A off set pipe to tank will be really full when you see water.
Your gray tank will back up into your shower when its full.
When you get LP Tank filled adjust but it will be only 80% full within the tank. Have never run out of LP so works for me.
Have added to QUICK TIPS #3.

Renden, than you use the "E" & "F" buttons to calibrate your tank levels.

Search these forums for the ePlex programming. It requires software/laptop and an interconnect cable from laptop serial port to the ePlex "clock" module.

ePlex uses a "lookup table" in its logic where it converts the number of "pulses" an ePlex sender delivers per unit time into a displayed numeric value. The software edits that table and thus changes the "calibration."

007 yep...

E-Plex programing
and
Grey tank sensor.

Both threads (some digging required) get into the ePlex eLogic laptop software to a certain degree.

First: I don't have those setting adjustments on mine. (many do not).

And save for the fresh and propane tanks,, They show full even when it's empty.. I knwo, I emptied them this morning, have not filled them yet, and they still show full.

Hmmmm... others here will know better... but it's possible that your panel has the adjustment screws on the back.

The other possibility is that your sensors on your black & grey tanks are clogged by "debris" in the tanks. Filling them with a combination of water and a waste digester (Camping World or a dealer should have several options for "sensor cleaning" formulas) might fix it, too. If not, one or more of the sensors may be bad.

Sorry I can't be more specific. What year & model coach do you have? That might help others give some advice.
