washer/dryer on Bay Stars
Does any body know if Newmar would put hook ups for a washer/dryer on any Bay Star models. If not, has anybody attempted to do this on their own. Also, would this void the warranty.

It's quite possible they would providing the floor plan would allow it space wise. Could always give them a call and they could tell you which floor plans would accommodate a washer/dryer.
There may be a Bay Star owner here who has done this? For some reason I can't recall seeing it in the past.
Not sure if weight is an issue on Bay Star chassis. I would imagine it could be done, but I've been wrong before.
Best regards,
W.D.

Welcome to the forum, and yes we have a portable washer and dryer that we take
on long trips. It's not permanent so water comes from sink faucet, and dryer is 110
volt.

I looked at the Bay Star & Bay Star Sport floor plans on the Newmar web site.
I do not see any Bay Star models offers a washer/dryer hookup. They are normally listed on the model floor plans as W/D Ward. Which means hook ups are built in and if the washer & dryer (normally stackable machines) are not installed the space can be used as a wardrobe.
Newmar is also known in the industry to do/add custom work to their new rigs per the request of the purchaser - can't hurt to ask but I believe you will have to go to a dealer and ask.
Good luck.......

All,
Thank you for your responses. I'm hoping to visit some dealership this month and hopefully find my answer. My goal is to get these answers and to look through the bay stars and purchase one most likely at the Hershey Shoe later this year.
Thanks again,

I don't expect you'll find a proper in-build W/D on Bay Star. I've spent a lot of time scouring Bay Star photos, ads, build sheets, blog posts, forum posts, etc, without ever hearing of one. Nor have they added one as an option in 2018. Move up to Canyon Star!

Vacay Wheels - I have to agree. The weight allowence on a BS 3401 doesn't leave much weight for a washer/dryer after figureing the weight for people and gear. I'll have to look at the smallest Canyon Star's. I wanted to stay under 35 feet but that is not possible if I stay with Newmar. After weeks of research I'm 95% sure it will be a Newmar. Thanks again.

True, but you're close! 3513 is "under" 36 feet...

All but two Canyon Stars have W/D availability, here are the models as shown on their web site today:
https://www.newmarcorp.com/motor-coa...rplan-options/
Even the shortest model at 36' has the W/D option.
Good luck!
