Washing unit on the road
I am curious how others handle getting their newmar washed while traveling. So far I have limited my washes to the front of the coach using lambs wool but I need a whole vehicle wash.
I have contacted several mobile RV wash companies and they refuse to use anything other than their super soft brush. Back home I have a guy that does use lambs wool, so I assume it is just a matter of patience.
I am considering going thru a truck wash and telling then power wash only no brush, but I am afraid their soap may strip my wax.
Any suggestions other than DIY?
I know that I can sneak in a section at a time and that may be the best option.

I keep mine waxed , I use a brush. 45'ft Essex takes too long by hand. Use RO water in your fresh tank with a power washer set on low just to wet it and hose it off. and just blow off the heavy wet spots. No spots. If you have a pad big enough, get a Bakers scaffold from Harbor Freight. You can wheel right around your rig for the top half. I got it down to a science. The Wife hardly has to break a sweat.

I agree, using a pressure sprayer off your tank can easily supply plenty of water to wash your rig. RV Dude and I washed both our coaches once using a total of about 35 gallons, and they are both 45' Essex's. 
I have found few truck washes that can even do a half good job.

I have a lambs wool pad on a pole I bought from swobbit.com as well as a water blade. No ladder needed. While on the road I have found most campgrounds will charge you just a few dollars to let you wash your coach. I takes me about an hour and half to wash and dry my Motorhome. I do have a soft brush and use it on the windshield for bug removal. I think I will do mine in the morning.

So how do you get the water out if the tank? I am guessing Essex has a hose bib ? Another post showed a way to add one removing the shower head, which I plan on doing.

I washed my rig on the road at a flying J and a Walmart. I used my fresh water and hooked up a hose to the connection in the water bay. Took about 40 gallons of water to do the wash.

No brushes and no power washes. Shame on you. Lambswool all the way. Baby shampoo only. It does the trick.
DIY if need be. Did I say no brushes of any kind? Read the Newmar technical bulletin on washing. Did they say no brushes of any kind?

That was some years ago. I don't know where he is now. He used to hang around Breckenridge, in the winter.

I find that washing is the easy part, but drying is a challenge. I don't use soap of any kind, nor brushes, but have to hustle with the towels when drying. Microfiber for the final dry!
